Week Commencing Saturday, 19th May 2018
Enjoy springtime in Jersey. May is a fantastic time to see the trees and wild flowers that fill the hedgerows along the narrow inland lanes and valleys.
An evening talk given by friendly local ornithologist Mike Stentiford. MBE will prepare you for two separate visits: one to the spacious National Trust for Jersey Wetland Centre (where binoculars are provided to observe the wildfowl and other wild-life on the pond and in the reed-beds), and the other to the small but accessible bird hide overlooking a colony of Sand-martins.
Explore habitats ranging from cliff-tops to woodlands and discover a variety of wild flowers in the company of a local guide, Sue Hardy.
Participation is optional and is free of charge.
